Kentucky blue is one of the original 1985 colorways that was released. This was a birthday gift to Samantha Acosta and it uses an all new 6.5 pattern. The modern youth sizing in Air Jordan 1’s uses an outsole that has a slight curve at the mid foot. This is something that larger sizes do not have and it gives the sneaker a closer resemblance to the curved outsole of the ‘85s. The liner of the shoe was also dyed in a solution of water and pink screen printing ink; muting the vibrant blue fabric in order to match the Kentucky blue.
