The idea of making a 1985 shaped Fragment Air Jordan 1 came from Salman (@Dupremenewyork) in March of 2021. He sent me his personal pair of Fragment Air Jordan 1’s so that I could match the colors to the originals. Mixing the color combined blue, sapphire, white, purple, violet, and navy Angelus leather paint. Salman also wanted to have the fragment logo on the heel be painted black just like the ultra-rare friends and family version of the shoe. I used Xylar Studio’s brass stamp to deboss the Fragment logo after having first screen printed it in black. The logo was very pronounced when the heel panel laid flat. However, upon bending the leather to last the sneaker, it stretched and flattened out. To give it more contrast I applied a high gloss finish using a detail brush on both the Fragment and wings logo.
