“Studio Light” is an homage to filmmaking and photography processes. The spotlight’s form factor is inspired by (and is my interpretation) of early 20th century Hollywood spotlights with a twist.
169 laser-cut acrylic pieces were bonded to construct the body; revealing the inner mechanics and wiring that move the bulb to adjust the size of the light beam. The light features a vintage glass fresnel lens that intensifies the beam, an additional function which adds to the contrasting dialogue of practical and decorative use.
